What does it feel like exactly? It's a brief shock of cold that strikes the chest, air escapes from the lungs, warm tingles starts to spread from the heart. Forks of warm static starts to travel through the cheeks converging towards the nose -- weirdly clearing the sinuses. Heavy purples and blues weigh on the forehead and starts to overtake the mind. Tingles on the fingertip morphs into trembling. The sudden feeling of being alert washes over and takes control of the entire body.
Realizing that nothing in my vicinity is an immediate threat, the mind points to the self. Feeling of scratching my veins, loud gunshots on the temple that only exists in the mind. A phantom rope starts to tighten on the neck. Suddenly being fully aware of the shirt collars hanging above my chest.
The mind itching to end this feeling, dressed as a silent head tilt, shivers, cringing of the insides, and a forced look of being normal as an attempt to hide the overwhelming feeling of fear, hatred, rage, and hopelessness.
A tunnel without a light at the end of it. Maybe there was. But it's gone now -- a thing of the recent past.
Everything is dim. Gruesome. Tasteless. The only light I see is from where I came from, and it's getting farther and farther away from me.
My thoughts become branches like forks of lightning that never fades. Suddenly, in one moment, all those branches fall, each of them spiraling down.
